Code of Conduct for Ambu Business Partners
Ambu is committed to conducting its global business in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, adhering to the highest ethical standards, and treating others with respect and integrity.
This commitment is outlined in the Ambu Code of Conduct for Business Partners. This Code explains what Ambu expects from Business Partners, including but not limited to distributors, wholesalers, resellers, suppliers, agents and other third parties, with regards to business ethics and business practices, human rights, environmental and climate protection, employee relations, health and safety and other topics related to sustainable and responsible business practices. The code serves as the foundation for Ambu’s Compliance programs and defines what customers, consumers, investors and other stakeholders can expect from Ambu. Choosing responsible Business Partners is important to us. When applying the sustainability requirements, we recognise our responsibility for the economic, ecological and social impact of our actions. We also expect the same commitment from of our Business Partners, particularly regarding human rights, health and safety at work, environmental protection and combatting corruption.
The Ambu Code of Conduct for Business Partners defines the basic requirements for any person or entity conducting business with or on behalf of the Ambu Group. These requirements pertain to responsibilities toward stakeholders, employees, business partners and the environment, to conduct business in an ethical, legal and socially responsible manner. As a member of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, the Ambu Group has formulated this Code of Conduct based on the Ten Principles for the protection of human rights, fair working conditions, environmental protection and the fight against corruption. We have also taken into account the requirements and tasks set out in the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, this Code of Conduct is based on the UN’s Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Guidelines for Multi National Enterprises, OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas and the Conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), in particular its fundamental rights at work and the Guiding Principles of the Drive Sustainability Initiative.
Furthermore, this Code of Conduct upholds nationally and internationally agreed standards, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, codified in particular in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
