Forward-thinking solutions

Ambu has built on over a decade of single-use endoscopy know-how to place a reliable, sterile and cost-effective solution in your hands. We launched the world’s first single-use flexible bronchoscope in 2009, and since the launch of aScope 4 Cysto in 2020, over 2 million patients have been treated with Ambu single-use urology endoscopes at hospitals around the world.

Accountable to you across the value chain
Having full control of our own value chain makes us fully accountable for our solutions and deliveries.

Designed by the largest single-use endoscopy R&D team in the world at three dedicated global single-use innovation centres, which respond quickly to evolving needs.

Geographical spread of single-use endoscope production sites in Malaysia and Mexico reduces supply chain risks by ensuring continuity should regional disruptions occur.

Ambu pioneered the single-use flexible endoscope market in 2009 and sells more single-use endoscopes than all other single-use endoscope companies combined, which is a testament to our vast experience in meeting customer needs.

Lowering the carbon footprint of our products

Ambu incorporates a circular approach throughout the entire life cycle of our products, from design to disposal.

One tangible example of this approach is our pioneering use of bioplastic material, in our single-use endoscopes, including aScope 5 Uretero, aScope 4 Cysto and aScope 5 Cysto HD. The ABS plastic used in the handles emits 70% less CO2 than handles made from purely fossil-based ABS plastic.*

Learn about our use of bioplastics and other initiatives that further our aim to create products with the lowest environmental footprint possible.

*Based on cradle-to-gate LCAs on the raw material from the supplier. The LCAs compared ABS plastic made with 100% fossil-based feedstock with our new bioplastic ABS (which consists of 50% second-generation bio-based feedstock and 50% fossil-based feedstock). This reduction applies to the carbon footprint of the ABS plastic in the handle only, not the full lifecycle for the finished good.
